With its magnificent French-style ceilings, the Sauternes meeting room is a jewel dating from 1907. All the painting are dated from the period, and this salon is now a listed room in its own right. The interplay of light and mirrors reflect the totally magic elegance of the place.

the Gala Dinner of the 2019 Annual Disciples of Escoffier Congress

InterContinental Bordeaux Le Grand Hôtel is very proud to host the Gala Dinner of the 2019 Annual Disciples of Escoffier Congress on March 16, 2019 - an international event that brings together each year the greatest names in world cuisine.

Five MOF or starred chefs - including one with both awards - will take turns cooking at the Bordeaux luxury hotel to concoct a unique exceptional menu - each working on a particular flagship product: Beef tartar, oyster and Aquitaine caviar by Anthony David, new chef at the InterContinental Bordeaux gourmet restaurant Le Pressoir d'Argent Gordon Ramsay (2 Michelin stars); Saint-Jacques and Caviar d'Aquitaine by Johan Leclerre (MOF); foie gras by Vincent Arnould (MOF 1 Michelin star); red mullet by Jean-Marie Gautier (MOF); and finally poultry and truffle by Pascal Bardet (2 Michelin stars). Sébastien Fontes, Executive Chef of the InterContinental Bordeaux - Le Grand Hotel, will sign the aperitif cocktail, while Aleksandre Oliver, the new 5-star pastry chef, will close the day with a dessert worthy of his title as "Pastry Chef of the Year 2018" awarded by the Chef Magazine.
